Australian Camp Dhampus Village Trekking with Cultural Tour, Rafting and Chitwan National Park 09 Days

Australian Camp Dhampus Village Tour starts after breakfast in Pokhara, an hour smooth drive from Pokhara takes us to Kande, the starting point of this short trekking of Australian Camp and Dhampus Village trek. This is an easy village tour of 1 night 2 days for the amazing experience luxury holidays near Pokhara valley. Australian Camp set on the beautiful hill top offers striking views over the valleys and stunning views of the Annapurna Mountain range. After driving about an hour, we start our hike from Kande. The trail is steep; through stone staircase for about 1.5 hours gets to Australian Camp, located on the ridge and having an incredible view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre and Lamjung Himal. From Australian Camp we will hike down to continue through perfect jungle trail with birds chirping sounds our trek to continues to beautiful village Dhampus, takes about an hour. Dhampus village is on the Annapurna trekking trail is blessed with majestic views of the Annapurna Himalayan Range. The village is attractive, a number of slate roofed house. The trek is best for those wishing to experience Nepal mountain scenery and ethnic culture within a short time.


After Dhampus village one more hour to walk down to Phedi through the terraced rice farmlands and drive back to Pokhara.

We start our trip with a raft at Trisuli River Which is known as one the most popular river in Nepal.


We walk scenic route in the Annapurna foothills near Pokhara and circle up through cool rhododendron forests and lovely Gurung villages with breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail).


Returning from wonderful trip in the mountains, we drive to Chitwan National Park.


We arrive at a rustic jungle lodge and camp where we will spend a couple of days searching for game on the back of an elephant, by dugout canoe, by jeep and on foot into the deep Terai jungle. You may see a one-horned rhinoceros, leopards, varieties of deer, the elusive Royal Bengal tiger, and any number of exotic tropical birds.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu [1,330 m]: Upon your arrival, a representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will be waiting outside the airport gates to take you to the hotel. Depending on time of arrival, plans will be made for a briefing meeting once you have settled in. Please let us know if there is anything special you would like to do while in Kathmandu and we can help you arrange that. Overnight stay at Hotel Manang.

Day 02:
Cultural Tour in Kathmandu [1,330 m] - (B):  After breakfast in the Hotel we have a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu vally which takes in the key attractions in and around Kathmandu. Including AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the hill west of the city the most popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. The temple is colloquially known as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many small buildings and shrines down the hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square - The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu, Temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, 17th century temple known for colorfully painted erotic carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three story temple built from a single tree in 12th century.

PM:
Visit Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the World. The holy river Bagmati and the burning ghats and also visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath., you'll head back for your overnight stay at Hotel Manang.


Day 03:
Drive To Pokhara [970 m] - (B,L): After an early breakfast, you drive to the rafting starting point where we will begin rafting for about two to three hours on exhilarating rapids. You will then drive to the city of Pokhara to get the chance to view the natural beauty of this area. Overnight stay at Hotel Peninsula.


Day 04:
Pokhara-Australian Camp [2100 m] - (B,L,D): After breakfast, drive to Kande (approx. 1 hours drive). Trekking via Kande to Australian Camp where you can see stunning views of the central Himalayas, it is one of the best and easy trek from Pokahra. Everything from the mountains to the villages and terrace farms along the trails of this trek are superbly beautiful. Overnight at Guesthouse/Lodge.


Day 05:
Australian camp-Dhampus- Pokhara [970 m] - (B,L): After breakfast, trek down to Dhampus. Explore Dhampus village, a typical village. and walk down to Phedi, drive back to Pokahra. On the way to Pokhara we visit  David's  fall, Mahadev cave & Seti River George then we have an hour boating at Phewa Lake and visit Barahi Temple which is located middle of the lake.Overnight at Hotel Peninsula.


Day 06:
Pokhara Drive to Chitwan National Park [850 m] - (B/L/D): After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to Chitwan, Arrive Chitwan National Park. Transfer to the lodge followed by refreshments and a briefing about the Programme


13.00 hrs:
Arrival/Briefing/Lunch.
15.30 hrs: Culture tour to Tharu village.
17.00 hrs: Museum tour & sunset viewing over the Rapti River.
19.00 hrs: Dinner.
20.00 hrs: Tharu stick Dance.  
Overnight at Hotel Parkland or similar.


Day 07:
In Chitwan National Park [850 m] - (B/L/D):

06.00 hrs:
Wake-up Call
06.30 hrs: Breakfast
07.15 hrs: Dog-out canoeing (Buddi Rapti) / Shoret Jungle Walk. Visit elephant Breeding Centre
12.30 hrs: Lunch
13.15 hrs: Elephant Bathing
15.00 hrs: Elephant Back Safari
19.00 hrs: Free time for refreshment
20.30 hrs: Dinner
Overnight at Hotel Parkland or similar.


Day 08:
Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Kathmandu [1,330 m] - (B):

06.00 hrs:
Wake-up Call
06.30 hrs: Tea/Coffee
07.00 hrs: Bird Watching.
08.30 hrs: Breakfast
09:00 hrs: Start driving.
Hotel Manang.


Day 09:
Fly back home (1,330m) - (B): We will transfer you to the airport and assist with check-in procedures.
